Sunday Evening Worship will be at 5:30 p.m. every Sunday in the Sanctuary. It will include:
- Pastoral leadership by Rev. Robert Brown
- More traditional music than our other services, led by a volunteer worship team
- A simpler, less technological style of worship
- Elements gleaned from 2,000 years of Christian history and tradition, including some liturgy
- Reading of the Creeds and scripture passages by prepared readers
-
Holy Communion every weekRev. Robert Brown
This worship opportunity is being offered to fill several potential needs, including:
-
- Those from Catholic, Lutheran, or other mainline protestant backgrounds desiring more traditional worship
- Those desiring a Sunday evening worship opportunity in place of or in addition to Sunday morning
- Those coming from other traditions needing a more familiar transition to First Church of the Nazarene
All are welcome! No membership or commitment to our church is needed or expected. We offer this to our community and Nazarene Recreation / Arts / Preschool families as well as our present church family as a new worship option.
First Nazarene is located at 12725 Bell Road in Lemont. For more information, please email Rev. Bob Brown at bbrown@chicagofirstnaz.org. You may also visit our website, www.chicagofirstnaz.org, or call 708-349-0454.
