Foundation Dedicates 2 Trees at Local Schools
When the School DIstrict 113A Educational Foundation introduced a new "Friends of 113A" fundraising campaign, Aldo Pizzoferrato issued a challenge. If the group reached 50 donations the night of that September event, he would donate two trees through his landscape business, Fairway Custom Landscaping. Foundation members rose to the challenge, and Monday Pizzoferrato made good on his promise. River Valley gained a red sunset maple near the entrance to the school and Oakwood boasts an greenspire linden near the playground.
Staff, students and board members were on hand for the planting and dedication. Fairway Custom Landscaping generously donated the labor and supplies along with the trees.
Thanks to the generosity of Foundation supporters and Pizzoferrato, district families and staff will enjoy those living reminders of the community support for Lemont schools for many years.
