The community is invited to attend the first annual Hawthorn Woods Country Club open house and home expo 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011. The event, hosted by Hawthorn Woods Country Club and Toll Brothers, begins at the clubhouse located at 1 Tournament Drive North in Hawthorn Woods.

Guests will enjoy full-access to the private country club. From tours of the 21,000-square-foot clubhouse, separate pro shop, swim and fitness center, and tennis club to samples of Chef Erik’s signature dishes and more.

Following the clubhouse tour, guests can take a trolley to National home builder Toll Brothers model home. There they will enjoy tours of the professionally decorated model home and homes under construction plus a Home Expo offering expert advice on home care and decorating from local business owners.

A sampling of the participating businesses includes Robert C. Boyce – Landscape Design Contractor, Hunter Douglas window coverings, Ablan Gallery Fine Photography, The Clutter Coach, and Kathleen Newman Fine Art. Plus, sample baked goodies from Couture Cupcake Cafe and Gelato Bar.

Event participants will collect tickets throughout the tour for the door prize drawing. To be eligible, tickets must be dropped off at the Toll Brothers model home. Prizes include free rounds of golf, dining, pro shop gifts, and more.
