LAKE ZURICH, Ill., April 25, 2011 – Lake Zurich-based theater company Young Actor’s Studio Chicago will debut its fourth ever semi-annual production of “Gone with the Breeze” next weekend at Lake Zurich Middle School North. The cozy stage at LZMSN is the perfect venue for the fresh and modern one-act musical which takes the audience through the comedic behind-the-scenes action of casting and movie-making in Hollywood.

Producers Ruth Wintersole, played by seventh-grader Kaitlin Mitchell, and Huckleberry Jones, played by 14-year-old Jake Malinowski, are on the hunt for the perfect Jezebel O’Toole to star in their latest production, “Gone with the Breeze”—the movie version of the best-selling novel. Coveting the starring role are a variety of characters, including a cattle call of wannabes, a Southern belle, and the biggest diva in town—Peggy Tempest, played by sixth-grader Allianna Mitchell.

Join us for two nights only next weekend to find out what kinds of characters will show up for auditions, who will play the part, and whether or not Lone Pine Films even has the rights to make the film at the end of it all!

“Gone with the Breeze” will take the stage at the Lake Zurich Middle School North Theatre in Hawthorn Woods on May 6 and 7 at 7:00 p.m. on both days and will run just over an hour. Tickets for the performance are $11 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission. Group rates are also available.

About Gone with the Breeze: The electrifying new novel "Gone with the Breeze" is blowing everyone away! When word gets out that Hollywood's Lone Pine Films is planning "Breeze" as its next picture, hoards of aspiring young actresses converge on the studio. While they claim they are looking for an "unknown," Lone Pine figures they have almost clinched Peggy Tempest, the biggest star in town, for the lead. However, she's also one of the most temperamental stars in Hollywood, which is why producers Ruth and Huckleberry don't want her to know she's a sure bet. Their plan is working as the selected "unknown," Cindy Lou Harper, charms the press with her genuine Southern grace. But what happens when Ruth and Huckleberry discover they don't even have film rights to the novel? And what do they do when Peggy starts suing everyone in sight? Will the movie be going… going… gone?!
