East Lake Academy dads checked their inhibitions at the door at the school’s first ever Daddy Daughter Dance. John Haser, along with his daughter, Isabel, set the bar high, burning up the dance floor the entire night. Scott and Caroline Carter impressed with their performance of the Macarena, while John Calk easily kept up with his three daughters, Jane, Grace, and Mary Kate.
The special evening truly could not have been sweeter for East Lake Academy dads and their daughters! A talented Daddy Daughter Dance committee thought of absolutely everything to make the night memorable and fun for the event, held at Lake Forest Club.
Girls in the 2nd-8th grades and their dads were invited to attend the dance. The girls, who wear uniforms to school, had fun dressing in beautiful semi-formal attire, and many wore flowers from their dads. Fun dance music and a few slow songs were played by DRM Entertainment. Lake Forest Club provided delicious kid and dad-friendly appetizers and drinks.
East Lake Dad, Peter Blendonohy (with his daughters Grace and Alida) noted that the evening could not have been more perfect, and that he appreciated the chance to spend some one on one time with his daughters while getting to know some of the school’s dads better.
The Daddy Daughter Dance compliments the Annual Father-Son Campout, which is held every fall.
As a Roman Catholic school, East Lake Academy teaches the importance of family values.
