The March 15, 2012 deadline for the Sixth Annual Metra Safety Contest is quickly approaching. Don't miss out on your chance to win a new Apple iPad and other great prizes!

K-12 students are invited to enter the Safety Poster and Safety Essay Contests by designing a poster illustrating the contest theme, "Lead the Way: Look, Listen and Live" or by explaining in 300-words or less how you "Lead the Way" to promote safe behaviors near trains and railroad tracks.

One first-, second- and third-place poster contest winner will be selected from each grade, K-12, and awarded the following prizes:

1st Place: iPad
2nd Place: $250 Gift Card
3rd Place: $100 Gift Card

One essay contest winner from each grade group – elementary, middle and high school – will be selected and also awarded an iPad.

Teachers, encourage your students to participate in the contests. The school that submits the most entries wins a new computer for the school!
