New Organic Restaurant Coming to Downtown LaGrange

New Restaurant Will Bring Organic, Eco-friendly Fare To Downtown La Grange
Prasino to open at LaGrange Pointe, offers special pricing for residents

La Grange, Ill. IRED LaGrange, L.L.C., owner of LaGrange Pointe, a new boutique senior living community in downtown La Grange, Illinois, today announced the signing of a 6,000 square-foot lease with Prasino, a new organic, eco-friendly restaurant slated to open in September. Prasino is located at 93 South La Grange Road, on the ground level of LaGrange Pointe.

The plan for LaGrange Pointe has always included a public restaurant that provides convenience and enjoyment for residents of La Grange and our community, said Rodger Brown, director of project management for LaGrange Pointe. Prasinos menu coincides with LaGrange Pointes philosophy of a healthy, active lifestyle. The restaurant will expand on La Granges already vibrant restaurant scene, and we look forward to providing our residents with this service.

LaGrange Pointe residents will receive special reduced pricing and a loyalty program, as well as room service if they choose. Residents also have a private entrance so they will not have to go outside to enter.

We looked at many locations and really liked the prime location of LaGrange Pointe, said Peggy Maglaris Kopley, general manager of Prasino. We also liked the idea of developing something more intimate for residents. Everyone needs a place to escape. Our hope is that were the first stop once residents step off the elevator. We will provide healthy, delicious food, and a casual atmosphere to read a book, enjoy the company of family and friends, or grab a smoothie on-the-go.

Prasinos has a 200-seat capacity and will be open to the public. It is family owned and operated by third-generation restaurateurs. It will offer a family-friendly, casual dining environment. Menu items will be fresh and locally grown and include sweet and savory crepes, frittatas and homemade soups, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free items. It will also serve freshly squeezed juices, smoothies and organic coffee and tea.

We think Prasino will become a destination for many residents of the Western suburbs, Kopley added. We are committed to providing great service, a friendly sustainable environment, and most importantly a menu full of delicious and affordable hormone free, pesticide free, seasonal and local food.

LaGrange Pointe is located at 51 East Cossitt Avenue (at the northeast corner La Grange Road and Cossitt Avenue) in La Grange, Illinois. For more information on LaGrange Pointe and upcoming events visit www.lagrangepointe.com.

About LaGrange Pointe
LaGrange Pointe is an alternative to the typical retirement community. A small, intimate community comprised of 30 residences, LaGrange Pointe is designed to encourage residents to maintain healthy and active lifestyles. Due to the smaller campus size, LaGrange Pointe is able to provide a high level of customer service that is supportive and family-like. LaGrange Pointe is an example of the urban planning trend of creating more walkable communities. For residents, an in-town setting is beneficial because it provides natural intergenerational interaction and a one-to-two block distance to shops, dining and entertainment helping seniors to remain active, engaged and a part of the greater community.
