Crest Hill, IL – The Department restaurant in Joliet, Illinois tops the 2010 Power Lunch Survey by Hungry in Joliet, a blog series about restaurants in Will County. The survey was composed of responses by 40 participants who work in business, politics, and non-for-profits in the greater Joliet area.
Power Lunch Survey author Brian McDaniel says the results not only paint a picture of where community leaders gather for lunch, but also which menus are the most popular.
“Every place on this list has the most important ingredient for a great restaurant—fantastic food,” McDaniel said, “I think it not only sheds light on where area leaders like to eat, but which chefs are doing the best work in Will County.”
Not all of the restaurants on the Power Lunch Survey are located in Joliet, McDaniel said. It is a fact he credits for giving the list more credibility.
“Most of the people I surveyed—about 70-percent—live or work in Joliet,” McDaniel said, “The presence of Plainfield and Bolingbrook restaurants on the list makes sense because community leaders meet all over Will County every day.”
