Sex abuse charges

A 23-year-old Joliet man from the 1800 block of Glenwood Avenue who turned himself in to police Jan. 20 on an outstanding warrant charging him with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in April 2011 is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 14. He remained in the Will County Adult Detention Facility Tuesday morning in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Drug-related

A 23-year-old Joliet man from the 400 block of North Broadway Street was sentenced to four years in prison Jan. 11 after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine. Joliet Police apprehended him in April 2005 after a chase in which speeds reportedly exceeded 20 mph above the posted limit. An aggravated-fleeing charge and associated drug-possession charge were dropped in connection with his plea. He was credited with 72 days served in the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

A 51-year-old Joliet man from the 100 block of Akin Avenue arrested Jan. 11 during a 5:30 p.m. police contact at Norton and Henderson avenues is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 3 on a charge of cocaine manufacture/delivery. Joliet Police reportedly also seized a stolen firearm during the arrest. He is free on $50,000 bail.
Parole violations

A 28-year-old Joliet man from the 700 block of Apollo Drive was arrested Jan. 21 by Crest Hill Police for domestic battery and violating parole. He was paroled in October 2009 on a six-year sentence for a July 2007 Rockdale robbery. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 14 and remained in the Will County Adult Detention Facility on a hold from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

A 31-year-old Joliet man from the 1600 block of North Center Street was arrested around 5:35 a.m. Jan. 20 on the 500 block of East Cass Street on an out-of-town warrant and for violating parole. He is serving a 30-month sentence for aggravated driving under the influence in McLean County in 2009 and was paroled in June 2011, with his sentence due to end in June.

An 18-year-old Joliet man from the 100 block of Osgood Street arrested Jan. 8 on the 500 block of 2nd Avenue is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 23 on one count of residential burglary and one count of simple burglary.

A 26-year-old Joliet man from the 100 block of South Larkin Avenue arrested Jan. 18 is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 10 on a charge of burglary.

A 20-year-old homeless Joliet man arrested Jan. 17 on the 0-100 block of East Clinton Street is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7 on charges of burglary, criminal trespass to a vehicle and theft.

A 39-year-old Crest Hill woman arrested around 4:40 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 1400 block of North Illinois Route 59 is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7 on charges of burglary and retail theft.

A 26-year-old Joliet-area man from the 400 block of Fairmount Avenue is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 8 for a preliminary hearing on a charge of aggravated robbery stemming from an alleged Jan. 7 offense at a supermarket on the 400 block of Walnut Street.

A 20-year-old Joliet man from the 700 block of Hickory Street arrested around 12:50 a.m. Jan. 9 at his home is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 31 on charges of robbery and battery in connection with an alleged Dec. 16 offense.

A 22-year-old Joliet man from the 400 block of Campbell Street arrested around 8:55 p.m. Jan. 17 while walking in the street on the 400 block of Oneida Street is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 8 on a charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon.

A 24-year-old Joliet man from the 1700 block of Great Ridge Drive arrested around 2:35 a.m. Jan. 20 during a warrant-related stop on the 2300 block of Illinois Route 59 is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 10 on two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of possession of a firearm by a street gang member, possession of ammunition by a felon and obstructing a peace officer and Feb. 22 on charges of possessing drugs and a firearm in December 2011.

A 65-year-old Joliet man from the 200 block of Wilson Avenue arrested around 3 a.m. Jan. 22 on the 2200 block of West Jefferson Street is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 14 on a charge of using the telephone on Jan. 18 to threaten to kill another person. The man, who is on probation from a conviction for criminal damage to property and trespassing, remained in the Will County Adult Detention Facility Tuesday in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A 34-year-old Joliet man from the 200 block of South Des Plaines Street arrested around 12:05 a.m. Jan. 8 near his home is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 30 on charges of aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude police, disregarding two stop signs, failing to signal, driving on a revoked license, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He is free on $20,000 bail.

A 38-year-old Joliet man from the 500 block of Elmwood Avenue arrested around 1:45 p.m. Jan. 9 on the 2100 block of West Jefferson Street is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 31 on a charge of theft from a coin-operated machine.
Prostitution

A 24-year-old Joliet woman from the 1100 block of Parkwood Drive arrested around 11:40 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 1100 block of Plainfield Road has been charged with prostitution/second offense. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.

A 24-year-old Lombard woman arrested around 11 p.m. Jan. 18 at a motel west of the Louis Joliet Mall has been charged with prostitution. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 15.

A 36-year-old Sacramento woman arrested around 8:20 p.m. Jan. 16 at a motel west of the Louis Joliet Mall has been charged with prostitution and possession of cannabis. She was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 24 and is free on $1,000 bail.
