A 21-year-old Joliet man from the 1100 block of Hobbs Drive arrested around 9:15 p.m. Jan. 7 on the 500 block of Cass Street is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 30 for a preliminary hearing on a charge of aggravated robbery and using the credit card of another. Bail was set at $250,000.

A 20-year-old Joliet man from the 500 block of Sherman Street arrested at 1:10 a.m. Jan. 10 on the 700 block of North Hickory Street for robbery is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 31.

A 22-year-old Joliet man paroled on convictions for possession of an illegally modified shotgun, criminal damage to state property and filing a false report was arrested Jan. 12 for possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon and resisting/obstructing a peace officer during a 4 p.m. police contact on the 1600 block of Taylor. The arrestee is a resident of the 1100 block of Loral Street.

A 19-year-old Joliet male from the 700 block of Elmer Street was arrested Jan. 12 on an outstanding warrant charging him with firing a loaded weapon at a vehicle and aggravated discharge of a firearm in Joliet on Nov. 24. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 24..
Auto burglary

A 31-year-old Joliet man on parole from a conviction for aggravated battery to a peace officer was arrested around 11:40 p.m. Jan. 8 on the 400 block of Oneida Street while allegedly breaking into a motor vehicle. The resident of the 400 block of North Bluff Street is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 30 on charges of burglary and resisting.

A 26-year-old Joliet man from the 1200 block of Oakland Avenue was arrested Jan. 12 at his home for aggravated domestic battery, interfering with a domestic-violence report and knowingly damaging property during a 3:50 a.m. police contact.

A 33-year-old Joliet man paroled on a conviction for aggravated battery with a firearm is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 24 for a preliminary hearing on one count of aggravated domestic battery and two counts of domestic battery stemming from an alleged Dec. 30 offense at his home on the 1300 block of Ridgewood Avenue.

A 51-year-old Joliet man from the 100 block of Akin Avenue was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell following his 5:30 p.m. arrest Jan. 11 at Norton and Henderson avenues. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 3.

A 23-year-old Joliet man from the 400 block of North Broadway Street was sentenced to four years in prison Jan. 9 following his October 2011 guilty plea to possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

A 28-year-old Joliet man from the 100 block of Iowa Avenue was sentenced to three years in prison Jan. 9 after pleading guilty to manufacture-delivery of more than 500 grams of cannabis in Joliet in May 2011. He also must pay a fine based on the drug’s street value.

A 38-year-old Joliet man from the 300 block of East Washington Street was cited Dec. 11 for soliciting a prostitute during an 11:10 p.m. police contact at Cass and Herkimer streets.
