The Huntley Area Public Library District Friends Foundation is hosting an art display and silent auction showcasing local artists.
The display highlights 21 decorated wooden boxes that can be purchased during an ongoing silent auction that runs through Feb. 29.
“The boxes are truly one-of-a-kind works of art, Pamela Kampwerth, Friends Foundation liaison, said in a press release.
Many of the boxes are painted, wallpapered or covered in fabric. A double box is also covered in mosaic wooden tiles. The boxes will be awarded to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going toward the library.
The foundation donated more than $34,000 to the library last year.
