SMS Second Graders Hold Wax Museum

During Catholic Schools week, the students of Mrs. Berardelli and Mrs. Novonty's second grade classes held a Saints Wax Museum. The St. Michael School second graders selected a Catholic Saint to research and write a report on. They also got to dress up as their saint. The students spent weeks preparing for this special day! Each report told about the Saint’s birth place, childhood, and occupation. Students also researched any special works of charity performed by the saint, such as serving the poor, feeding the hungry, and teaching. They found that many of the saints performed miracles. As a class, the dressed Saints acted as a Wax Museum and gave their presentations to teachers, parents, grandparents, and other classrooms around the school. The Second Grade Saints Wax Museum is a treasured Catholic Schools Week tradition at St. Michael.
