The McCord Gallery and Cultural Center will hold its second annual “Art B Que” on Saturday, July 31st from 5pm until 8pm. The evening will include a performance by Michael McDermott, musician/songwriter who grew up in Orland Park, graduated from Sandburg High School and became internationally known as one of the finest folk rock/acoustic performers of our time. He has said, “I consider myself a storyteller. I’m also a hopeless romantic, so lots of my subjects are simply from everyday life and the relationships we have in today’s fast-paced urban world. People and loved ones are an important part of my music.” Michael McDermott will perform at McCord from 6pm – 7pm. Great music, art, and delicious food will make the evening one to remember.
