Sump pumps, sewer router stolen from plumbing business, and more

These items were taken from reports released Feb. 16 by the Will County Sheriff’s Office, Joliet Police information and information from the Will County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Burglary

  • A laptop computer, 42-inch television, 24-inch television, Nintendo DS game system and game cartridges, $350 in cash, jewelry and a cordless drill were reported stolen Feb. 8 from a home on the 14000 block of South Saddle Brook Lane.
  • A pipe machine, four sump pumps, four ejector pumps, jackhammer, television, fax machine, sewer router, and two torch tanks were reported taken Feb. 6 from a plumbing business on the 12100 block of West 159th Street. The items were last seen on Feb. 3.

Theft

  • A 31-year-old Homer Glen man from the 14400 block of Abbott Road was arrested Feb. 16 by Joliet Police on the city’s west side and charged with stealing one or more items with a total value of more than $500. He is scheduled to appear in court March 9.

Crash

  • A 75-year-old Frankfort man escaped serious injury on Feb. 8 when he drove into a ditch at Cedar Road and Chicago-Bloomington Trail after losing control of the vehicle he was driving. He was charged with DUI. Court hearing information was unavailable.
