Car littered with banana stickers, and more

These items were taken from Will County Sheriff’s Police reports released on Aug. 25 and Will County circuit court files.

Burglaries

§  A man’s watch, tie clip, duffle bag and set of house keys were taken from a home on the 14000 block of Stately Oaks Circle between 10:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Aug. 19. Entry was made by kicking in a door.

§  The master bedroom of a home on the 13000 block of West Creekside Drive was ransacked on Aug. 19. A neighbor saw a male in his early teens, wearing a white shirt, blue shorts with short hair, running through the back yard from the victim’s house at 10:30 a.m.  He entered an older model white, four-door Nissan with front end passenger side damage. The residents were still determining what had been taken on Aug. 25.

Arrests

§  A 24-year-old man, of the 13000 block of West Spring Court, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Oct. 4 on charges of DUI-alcohol and DUI over the legal limit stemming from an Aug. 21 traffic stop by sheriff’s police on the 12000 block of West 143rd Street.

§  A 26-year-old woman, of the 12100 block of West Venetian Way, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Sept.1 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery stemming from an Aug. 14 arrest. 

§  A 20-year-old woman, of the 13100 block of Beaver Lake Drive, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Sept. 8 on two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery stemming from an Aug. 10 arrest.

§  A 42-year-old man, of the 14000 block of Doral Lane, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Sept. 14 on three counts of misdemeanor domestic battery stemming from an Aug. 9 arrest.

Property damage

§  A vehicle parked on the 16000 block of McKenzie Avenue was reported keyed on both sides and littered with 50 banana stickers on Aug. 18. The complainant suspects a local youth who recently wore a banana costume to a party might have been involved.

Thefts

§  Thirty feet of copper pipe, valued at $60, was reported taken Aug. 20 from a construction site on the 16000 block of South Syd Creek Drive.
