Hoffman Estates supports National Night Out The Hoffman Estates Police Department encourages you to join your neighbors and celebrate the 27th annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 3. You can host a cookout, have a parade, organize a flashlight walk or simply turn on your outside light and relax on your front porch. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime- and drug-prevention awareness; strengthen neighborhood, police and community partnerships; generate support for local anti-crime programs; and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
