Hinsdale Adventist Academy's girls and boys varsity basketball teams competed against 21 Adventist Academies from throughout the country at the Southwestern Adventist University in Keene Texas recently. The boys teams, the Hurricanes, finished fourth playing a thrilling final game watched by a standing-room only crowd.
Two of the players - Christian Bokich and Denzel Washington - were awarded Most Outstanding Players in the Championship round. Bradley Houda was honored by his coaches as Most Valuable Player for the entire tournament.
The purpose for the Hoops Classic is to develop Christ-like character through a quality athletic program, with attention given to fellowship, respect for opponents, a high standard of play and of course fun.
