Elm School Kindergarteners Celebrate 100's Day
“We love to count anything and everything!” The Elm School kindergarten students said as they spent their 100th day counting many different items all the way to 100. And while they had fun, they developed a foundational skill for addition and subtraction. District 181 Superintendent Dr. Renée Schuster enjoyed counting with the students as well when they came to visit on February 9. She helped them count straws and reminded them how important it is to learn to count by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s as well. It was a fun day for the children as they learned how to count, guided by their teacher, Brenda Sanders.
