A not-so-happy meal

A drive-through employee of McDonald’s, 935 N. York Road, reported that someone driving a black sedan came up to the window and threw of handful of change, striking him in the face.

“Nothing was ordered by the vehicle — it just approached the window and someone threw coins in the face of the drive-through attendant,” Hinsdale Deputy Police Chief Mark Wodka said.

The attendant was able to write down the license plate number of the vehicle, so detectives are following up on the Sept. 18 incident, which happened at 11:19 p.m. Identification is pending, Wodka said.
