Dog bite, stolen iPhone, and more

The following items were taken from Hinsdale Police Department records Aug. 30:

Dog bite

A woman reported an unleashed dog bit her in the upper left leg at 8:45 p.m. on Aug 24 at Katherine Legge Memorial Park and then left with its owners.

Burglary

An Apple iPhone valued at $200 was stolen from an unlocked Dodge Dakota that was parked at the 600 block of Phillippa Street sometime between 7 p.m. Aug 23 and 1 a.m. Aug. 24.

An AT&T red cell phone, $10 and an Old Style cigarette lighter were stolen from an unlocked GMC Yukon parked in the driveway at the 400 block of S. Bodin Street sometime between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 30.

A small-cut rock pendant from a necklace and a small amount of change were stolen from an unlocked Audi Sedan while parked in the driveway at the 800 block of S. Vine Street sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 29 and 8 a.m. Aug. 30.

A woman of the 800 block of S. Vine Street reported an unknown suspect exited her detached garage through the service door at 11:54 p.m. on Aug. 29. There was no reported loss at the time.

Criminal damage to property

A toilet stall in the men’s restroom at Pierce Park, 700 block E. Walnut Street, was vandalized with spray-paint graffiti sometime between 10:15 p.m. Aug. 27 and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

No valid driver’s license

A 17-year-old girl, of Hinsdale, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. Aug 24 at 55th Street, 100 feet west of Monroe Street, and charged with no valid license, no insurance, driving with suspended registration, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and obstructed view. The juvenile was involved in an auto accident that resulted in property damage only.
