Shabbat at the Beach, hosted by the North Shore Congregation Israel, will be Friday, Aug. 14 at 5.30 p.m.

Families with school-age children, this is for you; singing, story, and a family-friendly Shabbat service, birthday blessings and dessert. Bring a picnic dinner. We'll have challah, juice and dessert. Dress is casual; wear walking shoes. Members and nonmembers welcome.

The congregation has held the worship service on the beach earlier this summer on June 12 and July 10. The congregation's synagogue is located on beach front property, and the Shabbat will take place there.
