Mayor Nancy Rotering wants to encourage Highland Park residents to read the 2012 official selection of the One Book One Highland Park community read program. 70 paperback copies of Siobhan Fallon's You Know When The Men Are Gone will be quietly distributed throughout Highland Park at coffee shops, beauty salons, train stations, health clubs and other places in the next week. Residents are encouraged to read the book, meet the author and attend a discussion. Folks who pick up a free copy may either return it the Highland Park Public Library when finished or pass it along to someone else to read. Additional copies are available to check out from the Library and copies will also be available for purchase at the Meet The Author event on Monday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Library.
