Oasis Summer Day Camp, the recipient of a 2011 U.S. Commerce Association award, today announced that registration is open for its summer session. With a new location in Highland Park, the camp offers a fun-filled and educational camp experience for children ages 5 to 12. Register on-line at www.oasisdaycamp.com, or call (847) 858-0415, before January 31 and the $100 registration fee is waived.

Oasis Camp offers weekly schedules to satisfy creative, active, and adventurous campers — boys and girls alike. This summer’s sessions begin on June 18 through August 17. With two convenient locations in Highland Park, at 770 Deerfield Road, and in Winnetka, at 180 Ridge Avenue, and the camp serves families in Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Northbrook, Deerfield, Highland Park, and along the North Shore. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drop off begins at 8 a.m. and pick up ends by 5:30 p.m.

“This was my son's third year at Oasis. He loves this camp more than any other he's been to and won't consider going anywhere else,” says Dorothy Roberts of Evanston. “I appreciated the flexible hours, the reading challenge, and my son being happy all summer.”

Oasis brings a fresh approach to the summer camp experience with a mix of field trips (three a week), sports, and creative learning. Camp founders are husband and wife, James and Brooke Schamber, who are on both trained professionals in education and psychology. With an impressive, low staff-to-camper ratio of 1-to-7, counselors are highly qualified professionals and college students.
