Eve Tarm, VP of the Ravinia Neighbors Association, second from left, joined association members on Friday, November 12, to wish farewell to Alice Felice, Ravinia post office window clerk, and to enjoy cup cakes from Ravinia's own Baker Boys on St. Johns Avenue.
"Post box applications date back to 1943 at this post office," said Felice. "Saturday is the last day it will be open for business, but early next week I'll be at the main post office on Central Avenue."
"A walkable neighborhood, like Ravinia, is a wonderful thing and increasingly rare," said association member Peggy Laemle. "Our post office will be missed."
