North Shore Yacht Club Labor Day Regatta in Highland Park September 4

Sunfish, Buccaneer and 420 sailors from all over the Midwest are invited to participate in the North Shore Yacht Clubs Labor Day Regatta, Saturday September45 at Park Avenue Beach in Highland Park. Sign-in begins at 8 AM and a Skippers Meeting at 9:30. The first race will start at 10:30 and up to five races will continue throughout the morning and the afternoon. There will be a break for lunch and an after-racing dinner and awards ceremony.

The Labor Day Regatta is the North Shore Yacht Clubs premiere sailing event. Sailors from all over the Midwest have been invited. Boats from nearby clubs including those in Wilmette, Winnetka, Waukegan, and Lake Forest are expected

Entry fees, which include lunch, are $20 for Sunfish and $30 for Buccaneers and 420s. A limited number of boats may be available for charter.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each fleet plus the top Sunfish B fleet and the top Sunfish Junior.

This will be a fun day and an opportunity to practice your racing skills, said North Shore Yacht Clubs Commodore Peggy Malecki. We welcome sailors of all levels – especially Juniors. While we are awarding trophies, this is also time to have serious fun on the water.
