Highland Park holds free health care fair

Highland Park is hosting a free informational fair on Saturday for residents who don’t have health insurance or may lose it, city officials said.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Highland Park Country Club, 1201 Park Avenue West, residents can inquire about resources in the area.

Health care centers, including NorthShore University HealthSystem, will give short presentations before breaking into smaller sessions with residents.

Also representatives from the Department of Healthcare and Family Services will be there to register children in the All Kids program that offers health care coverage to children who qualify.

The Park District of Highland Park will host a free open gym during the event for children, so their parents can attend the fair, officials said.

For more information, please contact Don Miner, Highland Park’s manager of Youth and Senior Services at 847-432-4110.
