Highland Park coach Paul Harris said Friday afternoon that he didn’t think conference rival Glenbrook North gets enough credit for its defense.

Little did he know what awaited his team hours later, when the visiting Spartans scored the game’s first 19 points en route to a stress-free 44-20, Central Suburban North rout.

“We’ve been playing our butts off defensively in practice and it’s been showing out on the court lately,” Spartans guard Kurt Karis said.
