Gurnee Mills, the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in Illinois, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Goodwill Industries, making it easier and more convenient for everyone to donate to Goodwill. Goodwill’s mission is to provide training, employment and supportive services for people with disabilities or disadvantages.
The first and only Goodwill Attended Donation Center (ADC) in Illinois has opened at Gurnee Mills. Until now, people wanting to donate gently-used clothing and other household items had to drop them off at a Goodwill store. Now, people can donate items to Goodwill at its new Attended Donation Center at Gurnee Mills, operated by friendly and courteous Goodwill staff.
“We are excited to offer our shoppers a great and easy way to give back to their own community,” said Randy Ebertowski, general manager at Gurnee Mills. “This is a first of its kind for Goodwill in Illinois, and Gurnee Mills is always proud to support programs that impact the lives of our friends and neighbors.”
Donations will be sold in Goodwill Stores, where the revenues fund job training services that people need to build their careers, be independent and create a positive impact on their communities. Goodwill’s mission and services are especially relevant in these tough economic times as people deal with issues of unemployment and extended job searches. Donating to Goodwill is a simple act that directly benefits people in your local community.
The Goodwill Attended Donation Center at Gurnee Mills is open everyday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is located in Parking Lot H. For more information, visit www.amazinggoodwill.com.
