High school dropouts, your big opportunity has arrived: MTV and the College of Lake County are looking for participants in a show focusing on people interested in going to school again.

A casting call will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on June 24 at the Waukegan Public Library, 128 County St.  Students should be between 17 and 20 years old.

Participants should be outgoing and comfortable sharing their stories on camera, according to a media release from the college.

They’ll be asked to explain why they left school and what hopes and dreams they have for the future

“Positive in approach, the show focuses on the students not as drop-outs but as people who are motivated to change their lives,” the release said.

At the June 24 event, the college’s Positive Alternative Student Services office will also hold a mini-resource fair after the MTV interviews to introduce attendees to groups that can help with completing high school and entering the workforce.
