Early voting begins Feb. 27 at Glenview, Northbrook village halls

Northbrook and Glenview residents can head to their local polling places starting Monday, Feb. 27 to get a jump on voting in the March 20 primary.

Registered voters can cast their ballots early through March 15 at Northbrook Village Hall, 1225 Cedar Lane, and Glenview Village Hall, 1225 Waukegan Road.

Voting hours at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

In addition to voting for presidential and other legislative nominees, Northbrook residents will be able to vote on an “electrical aggregation” referendum.

The question will ask whether the village should drop Commonwealth Edison as the electricity supplier for homes and small businesses and solicit bids for a new supplier.

Residents of West Northfield School District 31, which covers portions of western Northbrook and Glenview, also will be able to vote on a tax increase referendum.

The district is seeking a $1.8 million increase in property taxes collected to help pay for programs in the schools that officials say would be cut without sufficient funding.
