Anne Loucks Gallery, 309 Park Avenue in Glencoe, Illinois, is pleased to announce the opening of its eighth annual summer group exhibition featuring paintings by artists Lisa Ridgers, Tracey Adams and Stephen Dinsmore. The show will open August 6th, 2010 and run through October 8th, 2010. Lisa Ridgers’ work has been deeply influenced by memories of the vast, unbound space that surrounded her childhood, which she spent on the South Coast of England and the Mediterranean island of Majorca. Her paintings have been described as a fusion of natural elements and inner meditations. Tracey Adams has spent decades experimenting with a wide-range of media and subject matter. Her most recent encaustic paintings tend toward the abstract, combining large color fields and rhythmic line, balancing contrasting elements in a range of compositional structures. Nebraskan artist Stephen Dinsmore’s paintings are expressive in spirit and evoke a love of color, light, and connection to land, nature and object. The subjects of his paintings include landscape, still life and “things for which I have a great fondness.” The exhibition can be viewed at www.loucksgallery.com.
