The Glencoe News reports: Glencoe’s Central School could be on its way to being the first Chicago-suburban public school to go geothermal.
Geothermal heating and cooling is a process in which wells are dug beneath the ground to harvest excess heat and cold, and store it in water, which can be returned to the heating and air-conditioning system to either cool or heat the indoor environment.
