Congratulations to Glenbard West High School student Nick Posegay for being selected to the 19th Annual IHSA All-State Academic Team. Since the IHSA established this award in 1993 only four athletes from Glenbard District 87 have been selected, and Nick is the first Glenbard West athlete to win this award. Each year, the IHSA picks 26 athletes throughout Illinois. Students must have competed in at least two IHSA sports or activities their last two years of school and maintain a GPA of at least 4.5 on a 5.0 scale. The students must be nominated by their school, submit two letters of recommendation, and write an essay, as well as fill out an application that includes academic and athletic accomplishments, and community service.
