This new eclectic and eco-friendly gift store is now open at 449 Main Street in downtown Glen Ellyn. The charitys flagship store in Baker Hill Plaza continues to offer charitable case management, resale and a beading program.
The new store will offer fashionable resale and retail items including jewelry, apparel, natural foods, sustainable household cleaners and body care. Donations of high-quality clothes, broken necklaces, small household furnishings, unique gifts, elegant and interesting clothing are always encouraged as are volunteers.
Saret Charitable Fund celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The non-profit organization began operations in 1985 to memorialize the suffering of a 2 year old toddler named Saret Yan who died of Aplastic Anemia complications in Wheaton and offer aid to families like Saret who had limited means of survival. This model of grass roots aid to others became the organizations mode of operation. Over the years, thousands of families facing economic crisis like Sarets family have been helped.
