COD Foundation Assistanct Vice President for Development Laura Mannion.

Laura Mannion, Assistant Vice President for Development, College of DuPage Foundation, was recently named Co-Chair of the Northern Illinois Community College Alumni Programming Cohort (NICCAPC). Mannion joins current Co-Chair, Kelly Myers, Director of Institutional Advancement at Joliet Junior College.

The mission of the NICCAPC is to share fundraising best practices for alumni cultivation, high impact fundraising events, scholarships, social marketing, stewardship, capital campaigns, volunteer recruitment, and foundation publications such as newsletters and annual reports.

With all institutes of higher education facing challenging times, it is especially imperative to work smarter by collaborating with peers, Mannion said. The opportunity to have a lead role in the group keeps the College of DuPage at the forefront and increases visibility for the Colleges foundation and our efforts in raising money for scholarships, programs and facilities.

NICCAPC is made up of development leaders from Northern Illinois Community Colleges including: Blackhawk, City Colleges of Chicago, College of DuPage, Elgin, Harper, Highland, Illinois Valley, Joliet Junior College, Kishwaukee, Lake County, McHenry County, Moraine Valley, Morton, Oakton, Prairie State, Rock Valley, Sauk Valley, South Suburban, Triton and Waubonsee.
