Recycle Electronics - Almost Anything with a Plug or Battery

Recycle Electronics - Almost Anything with a Plug or Battery

It's time to start your spring cleaning. Now that it is illegal to put electronics into the garbage, SCARCE is hosting free electronics recycling event along with paper shredding, and mini-recycling extravaganza.
* Paper Shredding is limited to 3 boxes/car.
* Mini Extravaganza includes many of the items collected at SCARCE for re-use, including books, school and office supplies, buttons, crayons, keys, wine corks, altoid boxes, and craft supplies
* The electronics recycling includes almost anything with a plug or battery, and electronic media. For example
— TV's, VCR, DVD players
— Computers, monitors, keyboards, laptop, mouse, speakers, routers, modems
— Printers, scanners, fax machines, copy machines
— Stereos, radios, boom boxes, CD Players, Casette Players
— CDs, DVDs, Casettes, VCR Tapes
— Cameras, Medical Devices, Vacuum, other small appliances
— Microwaves, Coffee Pot, Mixer, other kitchen appliances
— Batteries
Note: Elecronics will be crushed, and precious natural resources extracted. You don't need to worry about security of your hard drive, but if the item still works, a local resale shop might be a better idea (note: some only take flat screen TV's).

See website for a complete list.
