Shop for Christmas gifts or for that special someone at the Arts & Crafts Show, on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event features 75+ exhibitors from Illinois and five states. 

“All types of contemporary arts and original crafts will be showcased,” said Karen Yackley, show coordinator. “Craft lovers will find a diversity of artists and numerous local favorites,” added Karen. 

Several local neighbors will be on hand to present their hand-crafted items. Pat Malin from North Aurora offers beautiful designer jewelry; Batavia resident Marge Vermatt produces gorgeous silk floral arrangements; Larry Lutey of Wheaton hand crafts pens and fine writing instruments; Laura Temes from West Chicago fashions unique stone coasters; and St. Charles artist Victoria Orrico shapes stained glass items. 

Keep your eye out for Autumn Sheahan of Sycamore as she brings her copper wallhangings, chimes and yard art to the show.  Millie Ortiz will be coming down from Muskegon, MI to display her exquisite stone & mineral jewelry.  Wisconsin will be represented with Dennis Gustafson of Brookfield and Mark Pasowicz from DePere.  Dennis will be reverse engraving original designs into handmade alderwood and Mark brings stone vases & quartz crystal nightlights.

Exhibitors will be showing watercolor paintings, bottle holders, lots of handcrafted clothing, coasters for drinks, ceramic items, concrete statues, copper sculpture, the newest in fall florals, framed dried florals,  furniture, holiday decorating items, ironwork, jewelry, learning toys, metal sculpture, name plaques, photography, handcrafted purses, stained glass, soft sculpture, wood creations and more.
