Midway through a 12-month suspended sentence for illegally entering Lincoln-Way Central High School, a former Lincoln-Way School District administrator has been charged again with criminal trespass.

Frankfort Cmdr. Kevin Keegan said police took Michael J. Angel, 42, into custody on Jan. 27 at his home on the 0-100 block of West Nebraska Street in Frankfort.

Keegan said Angel was allegedly on Lincoln-Way North High School property in unincorporated Frankfort on Jan. 22 in violation of a court order prohibiting him from being on any Lincoln-Way School District property.

Angel is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 17 on the charge.

He is also scheduled to appear in court March 9 for a pretrial hearing on a charge of resisting police, and to respond to prosecutors’ petition to revoke his probation.

On Aug. 16, Angel pleaded guilty to two counts of illegally entering Lincoln-Way Central High School in unincorporated New Lenox. Sheriff’s Police said he entered at night using a key he’d retained after his employment at the school ended.

Court records show a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in court Nov. 15 for a status hearing. Angel allegedly grappled with Frankfort Police on Nov. 29 as they attempted to take him into custody.

He is free on $3,500 bail.
