Field Stevenson’s Soup for the Super Bowl
The week before the the big game, students at Field-Stevenson were asked to bring in cans of soup and related non-perishable items to donate to the Forest Park Food Pantry. Souper Bowl organizer, Jennifer Uhlmann, a fourth grade teacher, brought students and teachers together to fill a community need. Mrs. Bogdan's fifth grade homeroom collected the most soup (230 cans) and was named “Souper Bowl” Champions of the Year! The class was awarded a trophy decorated with footballs and a soup can. Overall, an astounding 1,085 soup cans and non-perishables were brought in in a few short days.
