Two men were charged with possession of a controlled substance after a Forest Park police officer witnessed an alleged illegal drug transaction about 8 p.m. Feb. 18 in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy at 7216 Circle Avenue.
When a car with the two men pulled out of the lot, the officer stopped it. The passenger, who was from northwest suburban Cary, fled the vehicle but was found with 39 bags of heroin stuck down his waistband at the nearby CTA stop. He admitted to buying the drugs for $300 and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
The driver of the car, who was from Maywood, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
