Evanston, IL- Comix Revolution will host independent Chicago comic book artist Jeffrey Brown on Saturday May 7th at noon for the 10th-annual celebration of Free Comic Book Day. Brown will give away copies of Interviews with Select Change-Bots, an all-ages mini-comic featuring characters from Incredible Change-Bots One and Two, his affectionate parody of the beloved Transformers franchise. Brown created the free mini-comic exclusively for Comix Revolution and Free Comic Book Day; fewer than 200 copies will available while supplies last. In addition, Comix Revolution will be giving away thousands of free comics for kids and adults from 10am to 7pm, including Archie, Sonic The Hedgehog, Green Lantern and Spider-Man.
Jeffery Brown moved to Chicago in 2000 to begin his studies at the School of the Art Institute. His appeal to comic book enthusiasts has grown since the publication of his first book, Clumsy, in 2002. Other projects include the graphic novels Unlikely, I Am Going to Be Small, and an animated video for Death Cab for Cutie. His work was featured in a January 2011 exhibit at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art. He currently lives in Deerfield, IL.
