A large group of energized supporters of Patrick Keenan-Devlin, candidate for the Democratic nomination for State Representative in the 18th legislative district, rode in the second annual Bike the Ridge event on Sunday, Oct. 4. Every supporter was wearing a New Way for Illinois T-shirt. The New Way contingent was the largest group in the ride! Check them out at www.patrickforillinois.com/blog/
Riders started at Howard Street at the southern edge of Evanston and rode up Ridge Avenue to Church Street. The avenue was closed to all vehicular traffic. Hundreds of bike riders of all ages joined in the event. The bike ride took place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Keenan-Devlin’s supporters also stopped after the race at several parks along Ridge Avenue to gather signatures in his petition drive and pass out campaign literature.
