Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl, the Downtown Evanston Board of Directors and staff invite you to join in celebrating the ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 6 at 5:00 p.m. for downtown Evanston’s newest clothing boutique, gigi BOTTEGA. Fellow business owners and the general public are welcome to attend the celebration at 612 Davis Street. Guests of the event will be able to check out the latest fall fashions for women and enjoy snacks and refreshments.

Gigi Bottega, a women’s clothing boutique, opened its doors in July 2011 and is owned and operated by Gina Vericella. “We offer affordable fashion for the contemporary woman. There is a wide range of choices of everything from scarves, dresses and coats to jewelry and handbags,” Vericella said.

The inviting, comfortable and contemporary storefront is the perfect showcase for the latest fall fashion musts: ponchos, maxi skirts and military-style jackets. The store’s most current offerings, fashion tips and specials can be found on the gigi BOTTEGA facebook page, which is updated daily.

Vericella “fell in love with Evanston” when looking for a second location and found the proximity to Chicago and Northwestern University additional bonuses. She opened her first store in Bloomington, Illinois in October of 2009 after a lifelong dream of owning a clothing boutique.
