Many sportsbooks have excellent new customer offers that give players some protection on their first wager or even some bonus bets with sign up. Some other first time customer offers give out other kinds of credits, different from the traditional bonus bets.

Caesars Sportsbook’s current new customer offer (displayed in the module below) gives new users who sign up with the promo code TRIBUNE1000, their complete stake back in bonus bets — capped at $1,000 — if their initial wager doesn’t hit.

Caesars Sportsbook also has an exclusive offer for new users in Iowa, Maryland, and Maine who can cash in big with as little as $1. When you sign up in those states at Caesars, you can get a ten 100% profit boost after placing your first wager of $1 or more.

If you’re in IA, MD, or ME, the promo code is TRIBUNEDYW to Bet $1 and receive Ten 100% Profit Boosts!

What are Tier and Reward credits?

Both Tier and Reward credits are essentially points that players can use for a variety of different benefits from Caesars. They are structured a bit differently and distributed using different methods but the underlying premise is the same: users can deploy these credits for added benefits at Caesars locations across the country.

With that being said, let’s get into the nuances of each credit type and how they can be used.

Tier Credits

Tier Credits earned during a calendar year add to a user’s Tier Score which is the primary determinant of a user’s Tier Status for Caesars Rewards. It’s like airline status — if you fly enough, you start to get added benefits.

Essentially these function like bonus points that users can deploy for dining, gaming or entertainment benefits at any Caesars location. Tier Status is broken down into seven different categories, listed here from lowest to highest: Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Diamond Plus, Diamond Elite and Seven Stars.

Gold is from 0 to 4,999 credits; Platinum is from 5,000 to 14,999 credits and Diamond is from 15,000 to 24,999 credits. This lower status of the Tier Credits still gives users plenty of access to gaming benefits at any Caesars location.

The Diamond Plus status ranges from 25,000 to 74,999 credits; Diamond Elite is from 75,000 to 149,000 credits and finally, the exclusive Seven Stars status which requires a private invitation, is anything above 150,000 credits.

As mentioned above, Tier Credits will reset to zero on Jan. 1 so if users don’t reach their desired status one year, they can push it a bit farther next time.

Readers are likely wondering how they can earn these credits and we’ll explain a bit more about that in the paragraphs below but, a steadfast rule to earn more credits is to show your Caesars Rewards card for any activity you do at a Caesars location.

Tier Credit Bonuses

Tier Credit Bonuses are distributed every day at participating Caesars Rewards casinos.

Essentially, there are four tiers that users could reach based on the number of Tier Credits they earn in a day, ranging from 500 to 5,000 credits. Users will get additional Tier Credits when they reach specific thresholds so they can dramatically increase their potential benefits.

The four tiers are as follows: 500 Tier Credits in a day earns an additional 125 Tier Credits; 1,000 Tier Credits in a day earns an additional 1,000 Tier Credits; 2,500 Tier Credits in a day earns an additional 5,000 Tier Credits and Platinum Status; 5,000 Tier Credits in a day earns an additional 10,000 Tier Credits and Diamond Status.

Reward Credits

Players can use Reward Credits for a variety of different benefits at Caesars locations across the country. There are some noteworthy differences between the nature of each of the credits.

Before diving into the differences, we’ll go over how to earn Reward Credits at any Caesars location. Broadly speaking, users can earn Reward Credits through gaming (either online or in person), entertainment or several business partners like Wyndham 1-800-FLOWERS and others.

These credits can be redeemed online, at a Caesars casino in person or through any number of the partners.

Reward Credits can be redeemed at virtually any Caesars accommodation in the country. So if you’re going to see a show at a Caesars hotel, or dining at one of the Caesars restaurants or just playing in a Caesars casino, you can use your Caesars Rewards card to redeem the credits. Reward Credits will be redeemed at a ratio of 1:1 at participating outlets and 2:1 for in-room movies and Casino Free Play.

At the casino, there is a minimum free play value of $5 and a maximum of $500.

Caesars’ website features a helpful breakdown of both credits and how they can be redeemed.

How do you earn credits?

Earning either Tier or Reward credits is easy and straightforward. While there are differences between the two and differences in how to earn them, the underlying message is similar: take your Caesars Reward card with you and you’ll get credited with additional points for tons of different expenses or events.

Tier Credits

Earning Tier Credits is easy and enjoyable as users can get credits for dining at restaurants, gambling or even going to see a show.

As mentioned above, Tier Credits reset Jan. 1 of each calendar year so users have 12 months to rack up as many credits as possible.

In general, there are three categories to earn Tier Credits, while these categories are also applicable to Reward Credits, we’ll explain in detail how to earn those in the paragraphs below.

Focusing now on Tier Credits, the three categories are as follows: in-person gaming, online wagering and entertainment.

For in-person gaming, users will get one Tier Credit for every $5 they play on most reel slot machines. Some machines distribute a different value but will be clearly marked. Users will get one Tier Credit for every $10 wagered during video poker and one Tier Credit for every $10 wagered while playing Bingo.

Additionally, users will get one credit for every $3 wagered while playing keno and one credit for every $3 wagered during horse race betting.

Finally, users will get one credit for every $5 of potential profit on sports bets with a maximum of two credits for every $1 wagered.

Moving now to online, the Caesars Sportsbook and Horse Racing values are the same as the values listed above, but users can get one credit for every $5 of slot coin-in at the online casino as well as one credit for every $25 wagered on table games.

For entertainment the exchange ratio is essentially one credit for every one dollar spent whether that’s dining, shopping or lodging (hotel reservations must be made directly with Caesars to qualify for the Tier Credits). Users can get one credit for every dollar they spend at Caesars, whether that’s getting a spa treatment, placing a sports bet or eating at one of the premier Caesars restaurants.

Reward Credits

Earning Reward Credits is as straightforward as Tier Credits, with players earning specific amounts for each game they play, event they attend and or meal they eat.

For games, players can get 1 Reward Credit for every $5 wagered on a reel slot machine or sports bet. This is not standard as some machines payout at a different rate.

Additionally, players can get one credit for every $10 wagered on video poker or bingo. Bettors can get one credit for every $3 wagered through race betting or live keno.

Finally, players can earn Reward Credits through table games based on the amount wagered and the specific games played.

What are the differences between Tier and Reward credits?

Both Tier and Reward credits unlock a litany of different benefits for new users but some readers are likely curious as to what the differences are between the two.

In short, Reward Credits can be redeemed for cash at a rate of 100 credits to $1, while Tier Credits can be used for perks like free spa treatments, dinners or accommodations.

While Reward Credits can be used for cash, they will not reset at the end of the year as Tier Credits will. So users can continue to cash in their Reward Credits beyond the calendar year that they are earned.
