On Wednesday, November 2nd, Immaculate Conception High School held its annual National Honor Society induction ceremony where 21 new inductees were presented. Senior NHS Co-President, Chloe Koch, greeted all those in attendance, which included students, faculty and family members of the inductees. In a special prayer service, conducted by Immaculate Conception Pastor Father Tom Paul, the inductees were presented with pins and signed the Librum Honorarium. Class of 2005 Alumna, Mallory Purdom, was the featured speaker at the ceremony. Ms. Purdom delivered a thoughtful message to the new inductees centered on pride, appreciation, and gratitude for the education each is receiving at ICHS. Following the prayer service, the celebration continued at the NHS Induction Breakfast sponsored by the ICHS Parents Club.

Membership in the National Honor Society is designed to give recognition to students who display outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Once elected, members have the responsibility to continue to these virtues. At ICHS, the first requirement for NHS is a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher. A student with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher may apply for membership or renewal. Juniors and seniors who apply will then be evaluated on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

The 2011-2012 NHS officers at ICHS are Chloe Koch (co-president), Jennifer Clementi (co-president), Stephanie Stahl (vice-president), Kellyanne Remy (secretary), Anamaria Navarrete (assistant secretary), Molly McCann (treasurer), Krystian Seebert (public relations), Brendan Flaherty (co-webmaster), Alejandra Reyes (co-webmaster), and Katelyn Conenna (communications secretary). ICHS faculty member, Karin Fenton, serves as moderator for NHS meetings and events.

Current NHS members at ICHS include seniors Jennifer Clementi, Anamaria Navarrete, Katelyn Conenna, James Peachey, Sydney Cosentino, Patrick Radoha, Brendan Daly, Kellyanne Remy, Brendan Flaherty, Alejandra Reyes, Nicholas Greico, Allison Rutt, Chloe Koch, Krystian Seebert, Alexandra Kukla, Stephanie Stahl, Kyleen Lee, Megan Sutton, Luigi Loizzo, Alina Tinidad, Molly McCann, Mariah Grace Vertovec, Kathryn McCarthy, Andrew Vitek, and Rachel Wollenschlager.

New NHS Inductees at Immaculate Conception High School include seniors John Cheng, Gianna Colella, Anthony Iavarone, Robert Krajecki, and Jessica Monteon. Newly inducted juniors include Debra Barnish, Elizabeth Martino, Alessandra Cervone, Ainsley McGrath, Katherine Fenton, Adam Muellers, Sean Fenton, Isabelle Munoz, Aimee Gaspari, Kelsey Packer, Emily Hartnett, Amy Ridder, Taysia Hernandez, Lauren Roberto, Colleen Maloney, and Kathleen Ryan.
