ICGS Holds Annual Spelling Bee

On Tuesday, January 31st, eleven students at Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst competed in the annual Spelling Bee. Prior Bees were held in each class of grades four through eight in order to come up with the eleven finalists. The winner was a seventh grade student and the runner up was a fourth grader. Since the ICGS winner has a previous commitment, the runner up will now advance to the DuPage County Private School Spelling Bee at Timothy Christian on February 8th. There, the ICGS’ representative will compete with students from twenty-eight other private schools in hopes of moving on to compete at the regional level.
