Ella's Day gets a visit from Ronald McDonald!

On Sunday, February 19 from 12-3 there was a family carnival event and fundraiser for Ella Casten. Ella is the daughter of a 4th grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School. Ronald McDonald was there at 1:00 to meet and greet with many kids and families that were there in support of Ella. Ella has a rare form of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type 2. There is no cure for SMA and no treatments. For more information on how to make a donation, please contact Cheri Stasica at tstasica@comcast.net. You can also go to the Absolute Dreams Website at www.absolutedreams.com and read Ella's story and learn more about the disease and how to donate.

Ronald McDonald's appearance was courtesy of the O'Keefe Family McDonald's restaurants of South Elmhurst and Villa Park. Look for their websites at mcillinois.com to see future events. Contact their Community Relations Director at julie.travers@comcast.net to book an event.
