DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 1, 2010  Contact: Megan McNamara (630) 993-8925 mmcnamara@epd.org  Touch A Truck  ELMHURST, Ill. – Bring the whole family to Berens Park’s east parking lot (off Walnut Street) for a vroom-ing good time at the Park District’s annual Touch A Truck event.  On Saturday, September 11 from 10 a.m.-noon, everyone will have a chance to touch, climb through and explore a variety of trucks and vehicles.  Truck types include a fire truck, backhoe, dump truck, tow truck and more.  Weather-permitting, we will get a very special visit from a helicopter.  A $1 donation is requested to benefit the Park District’s Recreation Assistance Fund.  Make sure to bring your camera!  The Elmhurst Park District is an Illinois Distinguished Agency dedicated to promoting “lifetime enjoyment” by providing a variety of parks, recreation facilities, and affordable programs in the Elmhurst community.
