Good afternoon, Chicago.

The city has entered its second day of “very unhealthy” air quality levels today because of smoke from Canadian wildfires that has settled over the city and surrounding areas. Experts recommend that people stay inside and keep windows closed and limit physical activity, especially outdoors.

And the Cubs were the latest team to deal with air quality issues Tuesday when the AQI in Chicago reached a level deemed “very unhealthy.” What criteria does MLB use to play games in unhealthy air? Here’s how the call was made.
