The following items were taken from Elmhurst Police Department reports:
Theft
A handicap parking placard was reported stolen from an unlocked car parked Jan. 27 in the 400 block of Argyle street.
Two people reported that their wallets were missing after they rode Jan. 26 on a Metra train. The two people said they got on the train in Oak Park and had their wallets when they paid for their tickets. They did not notice their wallets missing until the next day.
Battery
A 38-year-old Elmhurst man was charged with battery Jan. 27 after a woman reported that he kicked her in the hand and stomach at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 Brush Hill road.
Disorderly conduct
A 22-year-old Elmhurst man was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:47 a.m. Jan. 28 after he was seen breaking a glass window on a house in the 200 block of Cayuga street and reaching inside. He told police it was a friend’s house.
Burglary
Jewelry and money were stolen Jan. 28 from a house in the 400 block of Hampshire street. Entry was made through a dog door and there were bicycle tracks nearby. No estimate of the value of the items taken was made.
